synchronizing my MP3 files

I have over 1000 MP3 files which I all burned from my original music CD's.
They are all in subdirectories.

What I did was reduced the quality of the files and it made a copy of them
in 1 big directory.

What I want to do is copy the reduced quality files back to the original
directories replacing the original files.

I could do a drag and drop using explorer but that would take hours.

Thanks.

I strongly recommend keeping the original high quality versions, if only
on a a backup DVD. Disk-space is cheap. You may find yourself wanting to
rerip those 100+ CDs again one day (or month!).

Yes.

If the files are tagged properly then you can use Windows Media Player's
rearrange option to shuffle the files back into its schema. That option
is a checkbox in the Tools > Options dialog of versions 9 and 10.

I had to reduce them because they won't fit on my mp3 player.

Disk space on pc is not a problem as i still have over 100gb free space.
