I am working on a project for a client. As a result I
work on 4 computers: the client's attached to their
network, my work computer attached to our network, my
home computer attached to a broadband network, my laptop
attachable to the client and home networks. The files
generated at all sites need to be shared and kept up to
date. It looks as though both synchronise and briefcase
assume a primary source and a single secondary, but there
isn't one of either - 4 of the same level. The nearest
to the primary source is my USB flash drive which I carry
from site to site.
How can I ensure synchronisation of files on these 4
computers (presumably with assigned directories each)?
The only way seems to manually check then copy changed
files from or to the flash drive one at a time. It would
be impossible to arrange the various networks to talk
together, there are too many firewalls and security
precautions.
