synchronizing email between Vista and XP

I have a new Vista laptop and an older XP desktop set up to access the
internet across a wireless system. I use Outlook Express on the XP for my
email, and I just got Windows Mail setup in Vista to access the same email
account (it's a POP3). What I would like to do is have a way to set things up
so that I can use either the laptop or the desktop to access my email, but I
would like both computers to have the same email "stuff"

For example, I have used the XP desktop for awhile, and it has about 500 or
so messages plus folders I have created. I would like to be able to replicate
all of those messages onto my laptop, and then when I download email from the
laptop, I would like to have those messages replicated on my desktop.

Presently, if I download an email on my laptop, I will not be able to get
the message next time I connect to email using my desktop and vice versa

Is there anyway to use Synch Manager or something to get this to work so
that my XP desktop in my office and my laptop that I use around the house can
have the same email messages without me having to copy files using a thumb
drive or something?

Under Tools - Accounts you will see your email and newsgroup accounts.
Select the email address you use, got to Properties. On the Advanced tab,
under the heading delivery are options to leave a copy of the message on the
server which means the other computer can still download it. I personally
use the remove from server when deleted from deleted items check box as well
so that any spam I get rid of on one account I dont have to deal with when i
download it next time. Depending on your ISP/mailbox settings you will
likely have to empty the online mailbox at some point if neither computer is
actually removing the message from the server.

hey, thanks for the response! Is there anyway I can get the Outlook Express
inbox from the desktop onto the laptop with Windows Mail? Is there a .pst
file somewhere? It's XP SP2

....or on your Vista PC open "Help and Support" and search on the string
"windows mail import".
