Synchronizing Email Accounts Kinda Slow

Diggy

When using OE for my hotmail accounts, if I click on an inbox then I can
immediately see any previously viewed emails while OE looks for any new
emails.

But when using OL 2003 with the same accounts, it seems like those
previously read emails don't appear until AFTER it has checked for new
messages. I have to wait a couple of seconds and down in the corner it
says, "Synchronizing Folders".

I would like to set OL to synchronize the hotmail inboxes only when I
specify it, not everytime I click on the inbox.

Is OL normally a little slower than OE for email? This is the first time
I'm trying out OL for emai so I don't really know what is normal behavior.

I have XP Home, and a cable internet connection.

Actually, down in the corner of OL it says "Synchronizing Message Headers",
not "Synchronizing Folders".

yep, OL2003 is a bit sluggish (well the beta is), however it should still
beat OE (assuming you're using IMAP rather than pop, in which case you'd
expect the same pace). No idea about performance with hotmail.
