My apologies for what seems to me a simple question.
Is there any way to copy a document folder from my main C:\ drive to an
external F:\ hard drive (as a backup copy) that does not involve recopying
every single file in the document folder?
For instance, if I have a folder containing 100 files, only three of which
have been added/modified since my last backup/copy to the external drive, can
I execute a command that will simply copy over the material that has been
added/changed rather than recopy each and every file in the source folder?
Ideally, I guess the command would compare the contents of the two folders
and copy over only those parts that differed between the source and
destination folders.
I have hunted around and not found anything that would accomplish this, but
it seems to me that it would be a relatively simple task.
Thanks for any feedback.
