Synchronize SmartPhone with Outlook

hey!

I cannot figure out, how to synchronize my SmartPhone(Qtek 8300) with
Outlook 12 Beta 2. I am running the Windows Vista RC 1, Build 5600

Vista recognizes my smartphone, and I am able to browse the SmartPhone. But
I cannot find the setting, where I can choose to sync my contacts and
calendar.

I have the same problem: QTEK 8500 cannot syncronize withVista RC1.
Funny enough I can synchronize music, but not Outlook7 (BETA) data.


With a previous version of Vista the synchronisation worked perfect. I
plugged the
phone in and synchronization started automatically as under Active sync.
Now, with the new release it doesnt work any more.

Anyone with ideas how to solve this problem?

If you search this newsgroup there are a few posts refering to a reg hack to
enable downloading a fix for wm5 phones /pdas
 
Hey Gordon!

I tried to search the forum, but did not find article with the hack you
write about. Could you please post me the link to it here?
