Synchronize Outlook Contacts in Small Local Area Network

I would like to synchronize Outlook contacts in our small LAN. Basically, I
need to be able to create contacts in either of two PC's, and to be able to
synchronize the contacts as required. Can this be done? If so, how?

Thank you very much for your suggestion. I find it truly surprising that
Microsoft does not offer a simple solution to a problem shared by all who use
MS Office in a LAN.

I have decided on a "home-based" solution to the problem, as follows. Keep
an Excel spreadsheet with all e-mail address in our mailing list (to be
shared by all LAN members). Since this spreadsheet is shared by all LAN
members, all can contribute to it. To keep contacts synchronized, each LAN
member sends an e-mail to all other LAN members with the new data, which each
member can then add manually to his/her Outlook Contacts.

Primitive, but a simple, cost-free solution.

Thanks again for the help.
