I am trying to synchronize via our local network from a
pc to a laptop. When I do it gives am
message, "Synchronization failed because the search key
couldn't be found in any record."

I already updated the Jet 4 sp7. This had no effect. The
laptop is running Win 98 SE and the Pc XP Pro.

Somepne help please???

For replication problems I'd suggest posting in the replication
newsgroup.

Also ACC2000: Microsoft Access 2000 Replication FAQ Available in
Download Center
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;282977
mentions "When I attempt to synchronize my Anonymous replica over the
Internet, I receive the error, "The search key was not found in any
record" on the client computer."

Not exactly your circumstance but maybe of assistance.
