"Synchronize Newsgroup"

When selecting "Synchronize Newsgroup" under the Tools option in Windows
Live Mail, it has to be
selected twice in order for the messages to appear downloading in a new
window. This is not
the case in Windows Mail or Outlook Express. Is this a bug?

It does not repro for me. When I am in a newsgroup and select "Synchronize
Newsgroup", I get a dialogue asking for what should be synchronized and
then the downloading starts. Maybe I am not getting you right? What do
you mean exactly with "in a new window"?
