Synchronization of two hard disks

I have two hard disks, C being the primary one and wish to
use the D as a backup drive. Can anyone tell me how I can
schedule an auto synchronization/backup between the two
drives ? Also can I just backup selected folders only?
I would appreciate any help that can be provided.

Either purchase some backup software or use ntbackup.exe.
(Start--Run--ntbackup)
