BSorry this is a bit long …
I am using Outlook 2007 with BCM, both B2TR. I have been very impressed with
the capabilities so far. In order to recommend use in the office I need to
make sure it will work with a database shared amongst 5 users. I set up a
test with a desktop and an laptop, both Win XP Pro. I followed the
instructions and shared the database on the desktop, then selected it from
the laptop. Everything seems fine.
I have added contacts, and accounts to the desktop – they appear on the
laptop.
I have disconnected the laptop from the network, worked locally adding more
accounts and contacts – connected back to the network and gone “online†and
it all synchronised back to the desktop. Perfect.
My problems arise when I have created an opportunity on the laptop and set
an reminder for myself on the laptop. This has also been transferred to the
desktop and appears as a reminder on the desktop. Is this right ? Is it
because I have the same “username†on the desktop and laptop ? If I have
five sales staff in the office then I do not want the “master†PC to have all
of their actions etc..
