We have been using Exchange Server and Outlook for a long time. We have now
implemented SharePoint 2007. I have found that I can create a calendar in
SharePoint and have it displayed and synched in Outlook. But for most
everyone here, the real desire is to do it the other way around and have our
Calendar in Outlook, which we have been using for years, appear in SharePoint
and be synched. Can someone tell me how I may accomplish theis?

Thanks

You'll need a 3rd party add-in to do that. One reason is that mailbox
calendars are private and there may be things you don't want to share with
the world, while the sharepoint calendars are considered group calendars and
nothing in the calendar is private.

See if any of the SharePoint/outlook tools at
http://www.slipstick.com/addins/sharepoint.asp will work for you.

We are a small SBS2008 shop with Sharepoint Services 3.0 and exchange 2007.
Linking Outlook 2007 and Exchange is as simple as opening Sharepoint
Calendar, clicking on actions and hitting "Link to Outlook."

That said we just discovered an issue where suddenly, on a user by user
basis, the calander link becomes read only. There is a Hotfix out there and
we are experimenting with that.

Do they lose the connection to the calendar? That happens here fairly often,
I never noticed it the calendar was read only, I notice I stop getting new
events.
