Sync Toy does not delete folder on the right.

I moved all the files from a folder on the left to another folder on the left
and removed the empty folder. Now when echoing this to the backup drive, Sync
toy renamed the moved files but failed to remove the empty folder. Have
anyone else encountered this problem?
Another problem of mine is that I use a USB harddrive to back my data using
synctoy. The problem is that, each time I plug in the harddrive, it's
assigned a different drive letter (as I have 4 USB mass storage devices).
Hence each time I've to use sync toy, I've to create a new folder pair with
the same criteria just because the drive letter has changed. Is there a way
to edit the folder pair?
This problem has driven me crazy as I've a lot of exclude folders in my
folder pair. Will this problem be rectified.?

I have virtually same problem.

My backup drives are accumulating a lot of empty folders that I have to
manually delete. Synctoy (1.4) deletes the files, but not the folders, why?

To solve your USB drive letter assignment, use the Disk Management tool to
set the drive letter you want.

Both of the issues you guys mention below (the drive letter change issue and
the folder deletion issue) are being fixed for the next release of SyncToy.
In the next release, Synctoy will automatically fix up the drive letters on
folder pairs on next sync. And we will support true folder sync - so no more
ghost folders lying around.

Can you tell us roughly when you expect this new release to come out?
should we be thinking days, weeks or months? Thanks.

Hi,

SyncToy 2.0 Beta was released recently to microsoft.com/downloads. It
resolves this folder sync issue among a bunch of other improvements. Please
try it out and let us know how it works out for you.

Thanks
