Recently I have an error message when i shut down my computer. The message
is as follows
"Sync serial .exe Application error
The instruction at referenced memory “0xoo12eb19†at†0x0000000e†The
memory could not be read
Click Ok to terminate the program
Click cancel to debug the program"

Either option does not fix the error. Note this error message does not
appear all the time. Apparently the problem does not affect the computer
operation as far as I can notice. is there any advice on this.

Is that (spaces and all) exactly how the error is shown?

You are giving this:
"Synch[space][space]serial[space].exe"

To me - if you are giving it exactly as seen - sounds like a possible
infestation/infection (or some strange OEM application gone bad.)

What AntiVirus application do you use and maintain?
What AntiSpyware applications have you utilized?
Did you add/remove any hardware in the last year (internal or external)?
What is the make/model of the computer?
What specific version of Windows XP do you have (Home? Professional? etc?
Service Pack 1a, 2, 3?)
