Hi,

I have a problem, everytime that I sync my Palm every Birthdays and Anniversary,
and all other such event are re-added, so right now I have about 100 reminder of
my mother, wife and children birthday, and my anniversary. I think that one of
each is enough (at least for me ;-) ).

How can I stop this from happening.

I'm using the latest Palm Desktop software, and Outlook 2003 on both computer

You don't mention what program you are using to sync with Outlook
(Palm conduits, Pocket Mirror, etc.). If using the Palm conduits make
usure you have the patch applied from Palm's website.

I'm using Palm Desktop, the latest version, and I did applied all the patches
and updates from Palm.

I don't know what is Palm Conduit, or Pocket Mirror, I'm using the software that
came with the device, which is a Palm Tungsten E

My guess with w T/E is that you are using the Palm Outlook Conduits.
Regardless of what you are using here is what I would try. Get either
your Palm or one of the PCs exactly the way you want it (birthdates
and such). For the sake of example let's say you are doing this on
computer #1. Set computer #1 to sync "deskto overwrites handheld."
To do this right click on your hot sync manager icon and select
"Custom" and "Calendar" and then "Change." Hot sycn and whatever is
on PC #1 will be put onto your Palm. Whatever is on the Palm calendar
application will be overwritten by your desktop.

Now go to PC #2, Set this hot sycn to "Palm overwrites desktop." Hot
sycn. Same basic thing happens, whatever was on the Palm will
overwrite whatever was on the PC.

Let me know how this all works out.

It's working so far, but will it be all right in the future or will I have to
always to it that way ?

Unless you set any of those "overwrite" setting to be your default
setting all you future hot syncs will synchronize as normal. At least
they should. I've synced with multiple PCs for years and have rarely
had an issue. I think somehow one of your PCs got "confused" about
the data and hence the duplicates. By doing all the "overwrites" you
probably took care of that.

Thanks a lot for your help, it seem to fix now
