I too am having difficulties connecting a windows mobile 5.0 device.
I have an HP RX1950 and although I had some 'interesting' moment under XP,
at least it would still sync 90% of the time.
Under Vista 5600, I can get the computer to see it and I can access all the
files on it, but I am unable to set up any form of syncronization whatsoever
with it. Even WMP11 doesn't see it as being able to create a sync to it, so
I am into manual mode for the time being.
grrr, I feel ret's pain... I am submitting a feedback on this now
