Synaptics driver?

Has anybody managed to find a Vista Synaptics touchpad driver please?
I am using the XP one but I have a feeling this is causing slow startup and
shutdown.

Nope, and I find it REALLY annoying that the MS build in driver,. you
cannot disable touchpad tapping, if that wee fixed, I would no need to
find a new driver.

Touchpad "tapping" really is the creation of the devil himself....

Is there a way to disable the touchpad without the synaptics drivers?

Yes, I saw that because it was the first thing I did, go to the Synaptics
site looking for drivers. Funny, you think they would put a driver up for
Vista since they're touting the progress in a press release but ... nothing.
Windows Update? Nothing there either.
I'm getting tired of using the up/down arrows on the keyboard! You never
know what you had until it's gone? ;o)
