I have turned off tamper protection when I scan with defender. but the fact you get a warning shows that symantec is looking after your system

G Guest Feb 18, 2006 #3 Yeah, logged it for Symantec's purposes (put on an exception list or something). Windows Defender always scans it at startup (this is good) so a little annoying (from Symantec's end).
