My old laptop croaked so I bought a new laptop with Vista Home Basic edition
and have been installing my old software without many issues until I tried
to install Symantec Corporate edition V10. It reports that it is
incompatable with Vista and I need V10.2 which is downloadable from
Symantec. Also the FTP and NDIS drivers are not working and are
downloadable from Symanted.

I have searched the Symantec site and have not found the 10.2 version
anywhere. If someone has actually found the link, please let me know what
it is so I can get the antivirus up and working.

Thanks

Symantec, Norton AV programs have conflict with the security setup within
Vista and cause numerous problems, (read previous posts in this forum ) and
are quite bloated, suggest completely uninstall Symantec AV and install
Avast, AVG, Nod32, which appear to run very well with Vista, use windows
firewall, windows defender and maybe top up with Adware/ Spybot Search&Destroy

"Symantec"-branded products (as opposed to "Norton") are intended for
corporate customers, and in general you'll need to have an appropriate
current enterprise customer and license number before you can get into the
download area on the Symantec servers. I'm using 10.2.0.276 on Vista RTM
Enterprise and I've had no problems that I can attribute to SAV.

You need to go to your company IT staff to get the updated version. If
their license includes home use provisions for the older version it probably
has the same terms for the Vista flavor.
