I have a stylesheet which colors links on our intranet so that there is no
change (hover/visited, etc) - - it seems to work on most computers

However, some reported that they used to have the old blue/purple scenario
on their computers and now it changed.

Is there a setting somewhere in IE (I've looked, but can't find) that will
override style sheet colors like this, that might have been changed on their
machines?

Thanks

There are a couple places where style can be overridden by a user.

1. Internet Options, General [tab], Colors...[button], Links
2. Internet Options, General [tab], Accessibility... [button]

One other thing to consider is the users cache. They might be using a cached
version of your style sheet or page.
