swsetup files

What are these files that are in the C:\ Drive? There is a folder for every program on the computer and many programs that are not and never have been. Can they be remove? My McAfee Anti Virus gets half way through these files and stops. Any help is appreciated.

Did you have Norton SystemWorks installed ? If so this

may be from that.

I searched my C:\ for swsetup.* and found swsetup.php3 in
my temporary internet files. A Google search makes me
think this program (SwSetup)has something to do with
installing programs over a network. Have you installed
anything via the Internet recently? (anti-virus program
definitions; Microsoft upgrades; other upgrades)

I was unable to locate info re: whether or not it was a
good idea to delete the folders but you may find this
information by following the Google results further than I
did.
