how do I tell what apps are using swprv?

What are the implications of shutting it down?

It is using 20% of my cpu on a continuous basis.

Hi,

Applications wouldn't be using it, the operating system's shadow copy
service does. Shutting it off destroys your ability to recover previous
versions of files and backups.
It is using 20% of my cpu on a continuous basis.

I prefer that my cpu be running neared to 100% of capacity when I'm working
on my system. In short, this is normal.

Rick, thx for response and info. this is very helpful to me.

My inference at this point is that having the cpu loaded slows the response
of the system for other work. you apparently view this differently, and I
would like to understand your perspective. Does you blog or other work that
I can access deal with this matter? Can you please provide a reference?

Thx, pjl
