Mr.Vampy

Hi,

I'm hoping someone can help me out on this one. I've just been on my
brother's PC, and his AVG virus scanner says he has a Swizzor c virus on his
computer.
The location of it is

C:\PQSC\CPS\000082\FILES\001\0DD538

He's using Win ME. The AVG scanner cannot get rid if it. Any ideas?
Any help would be greatly appreciated
Many thanks

1) Disable System Restore
http://vil.nai.com/vil/SystemHelpDocs/DisableSysRestore.htm
2) Please reboot your PC into Safe Mode
3) Perform a Full Scan of your platform and clean/delete any infectors found
4) Restart your PC and perform a "final" Full Scan of your platform
5) Re-enable System Restore, reboot the PC
6) Create a new Restore point
7) Please report back your results

PowerQuest? Are you sure this isn't a "false positive"?

You should send the suspect file to Grisoft or any of these addresses
and ask for confirmation. I don't think that any malware will settle
down in a directory not central for the functioning of windows.
