Switching Win2k Servers

I administrate 15 computers on a Win2k Server. This server has been
crashing several times a day due to mounting hardware conflicts.

I have a new machine running Win2k Server, but Im having a heck of a
time getting people hooked up to the new one because of IP address
issues.

The old server, on the domain "ASSOC," is set up to be 192.168.1.1 and
is excluding a few printer ip addresses. The new server, on the domain,
"ASSOCIATES" has already assigned itself a IP address on the old
network.

How can I get this resolved?

Thanks,
H1

Yes there is, but your description doesn't make sense, so no one has
replied.

IP#s don't really have anything to do with this. You could run a network
without TCP/IP to begin with so there wouldn't even be any IP#s and the
situation wouldn't change.

Also servers should never "assign themselves an address". Servers should
*always* be static.

But anyway, you need to decribe to problem more accuartely. Remember, we can
not see your network, we have no idea how you built it and how you expect it
to work.
