This is a strange one .. I have not looked at the system yet, but a newbie
reports that if they shutdown the PC, and then switch the power off to the
printer the PC reboots .. anyone heard of this before? ..

No I haven't. However, go into your bios settings and check the Power
settings and what happens when the power is interrupted and if the PC is
supposed to start after a power outage. If it says restart change its
setting to 'off'.

I have never heard of this
situation.
Is the unit and the printer connected
to a UPS.
Have you viewd the operation.

Is it a networked printer? That is, the printer itself has
the network module and an ethernet cable plugged into it?
If so, check your bios or windows (whichever is applicable)
for a network adapter "wake on link" option (might be worded
slightly different). In windows it's often in the
properties for the network adapter in Device Manager or
Control Panel - Network/Network Connections/etc.

I haven't been up to see it yet but I will bear in mind the UPS suggestion
when I do
cheers
