I was notified I had a trojan virus by norton and followed
instrictions to remove it that included turning off system
restore and run in safe mode to scan and remove the virus.
Now I am stuck in "safe mode".

I followed instructions to turn on system restore, but it
will not turn on in safe mode. What is the procedure to
start again in "normal mode".

Thanks!!

As your system is booting tap the f8 key continuously
until your selections come up. Then use the up or down
arrows on your keyboard to highlight your choice and then
click enter. You machine should not have gone into safe
mode after you shut down and rebooted. If unable to do it
this way then put your CD in the drive and shut down and
reboot and when asked boot from the disk hit any key on
your keyboard to do so. The when you finally get to your
desktop go start\run and type in msconfig and hit ok or
enter on your keyboard and then click the boot.ine tab and
then check all boot paths button to see if you have a
corrupt or unusable boot log. If you do the system will
prompt you to write a new one. Do so. Have fun.
