There are several ways to do this. One is to have one Outlook profile, add
both e-mail accounts to it, and use rules to divert incoming messages to
separate folders based on the e-mail account through which they were
received. However, all folders will be shared between the two of you.
Another option is to set up two separate Outlook profiles, one for you and
one for your wife. Assign your e-mail account to your profile and her mail
account to hers. You will need to exit and restart Outlook to switch
between profiles. But the advantage is that each of you will have a
completely separate set of folders.
The third option is to set up separate Windows logons for each of you, which
would also give you each a completely separate set of Outlook folders.
However, this is probably overkill in your case, since the separate profiles
option will accomplish basically the same thing, and hopefully there aren't
too many security issues between the two of you ;-)
If you'd like to share some data, like a calendar, but keep the mail
separate, see
http://www.slipstick.com/outlook/olshare1.htm for a way to do
it.
