Hi
I'm pretty sure I can switch my windows 2k server DC from mixed to
native mode but can someone confirm whether I've understood everything
properly.
I currently have 2 domains, each controlled by a single server - 1 is
Windows NT4 server and the other is Windows 2000 server with Exchange
2000 installed. There is a trust relationship between them (which, if
I've got my terminology straight, means they are separate root domains
in the same forest).
I am upgrading the NT4 server to 2k but I can't use ADMT because the
target domain is currently mixed mode. Am I OK to switch it to
native? My understanding is that this is OK because I don't have any
NT4 domain controllers in the 2k domain. Is that right?
If I do this, will the trust relationship between the NT domain and
the native 2K domain still be OK?
Thanks for any help
