Hello,

I am using a switchboard to open different forms. But since I need those
forms maximized when they open - I am using a macro for that - the
switchboard is also maximized when I close the forms again.
Is there a way to ensure that the switchboard is always of normal size, ie
neither maximized nor minimized?

Thank you.

I tried the DoCmd.Restore in the On Activate with no success. I also set the
border to dialog and that didn't work either. When my switchboard comes up
it is very large. If I select Size to Fit Form it looks great but I can't
seem to get it to stick. Any other suggestions? I'm in the process of
converting the database from 2003 to 2007 trying to work out these little
quirks. Thanks for the help.

Hi Linda,

I've never had an issue with a form getting resized in Access 2003, when its
borderstyle is set to Dialog. I'm not using Access 2007, so I cannot say at
this time if there might be some bug involved in 2007. Do you have the latest
service pack (SP-2) installed for Office 2007?

I copied the following description for the Dialog setting, directly from the
Help file for Access 2003:

"The form has a thick (double) border and can include only a title bar,
Close button, and Control menu. The form can't be maximized, minimized, or
resized (the Maximize, Minimize, and Size commands aren't available on the
Control menu). You often use this setting for custom dialog boxes. (If you
want a form to be modal, however, you must also set its Modal property to
Yes. If you want it to be a modal pop-up form, like most dialog boxes, you
must set both its PopUp and Modal properties to Yes.)"

So, it really seems strange to me that you say the Dialog setting is not
working for you.
