To get around this I have done the following which worked for me.
Create a form:
Call it switchboard if you like or whatever you wish.
place a command button on the form- right click - properties - Hyperlink
subaddress - click on the 3 dots - Object in this dbase - and click on the
object you wish to open. After this you will find that the link is named in
the button. I usually just remove the name through properties. Then using the
lable function create a name beside it which you can link together.
To have it open at start up like a swithcboard.
Tools - startup and the select the field "display form/page". then select
the form that you created.
