If using the switchboard as the Display form/page in the Startup options and
the Display Database Window check box is cleared then the Database Window is
only minimized, but if a form other than the switchboard is used as the
Display form/page then the Database Window will not appear as configured. How
do I get the same configuration to work with the Switchboard.
 
Thank you, the second possibility was the problem. I read a document that
said VBA code in the form could override the GUI configuration but the code
it was using as an example was different then the code in the switchboard and
I was looking thru the switchboard code with too narrow a focus.
