I had a database designed for me and it was created a database in Access
2000. I get errors opening it in Access 2003 due to an error opening the
switchboard. Is there known problems doing this?

"an error occurred while loading "form_switchboard' do you want to continue
loading the project?" And I select yes

"The expression on open you entered as the event property setting produced
the following error: Invalid procedure call or argument"

I really don't know where to start.

There is probably a missing reference since the conversion.

Open any module in Design view (or click Ctrl + G).
On the Tools menu, click References.
Click to clear the check box for the type library or object library
marked as "Missing:."

An alternative to removing the reference is to restore the referenced
file to the path specified in the References dialog box. If the
referenced file is in a new location, clear the "Missing:" reference
and create a new reference to the file in its new folder.

See Microsoft KnowledgeBase articles:

Microsoft Access'
Or for Access 97:

the correct ones needed,
and

how to reset a missing one.
