Hello

I am using Access 2000. I created a Switchboard and am having a problem running a search. I created a 'list box' on the form.

Problem seems to come into play when I access (no pun intended) the form via the Switchboard. If I open the form directly ALL records are available for searching. I do have a Macro running that puts a blank record first. I am NOT able to see any of the other records in the database when using the form via Switchboard.

Once I enter in new information (new records) via the form, then and only then does the 'search' work.

I need to pass this on to users fairly soon. I want them to use the Switchboard to select the appropriate form and enter data Sometimes this will entail updating records that are already there.

Error code is "Run Time Error 3021

Thanks for all help in advance

Wow..someone answered

I am a not sure where to find 'open in edit mode'. I looked in the properties on the main switchboard but no luck, as well as, the form itself. Please bare with me..am a newbee once again..I used Access years ago...have been tossed a project and making decent progress

Thanks!
