I STUPIDLY deleted my main (default) switchboard in Forms view. Now the
wiizard thinks that it is still there; I cannot seem to recreate it; I cannot
create another switchboard and make it the default. I am hoping that someone
can help since otherwise I will have to recreate about a week's worth of work
in a day. Completely my own fault but I'm hoping that there is some way to
recover - Thanks!

Forget it - sorry for wasting air space. I was able to copy my switchboard
from a previous version of the database. BLESS Access!!!

The Wizard is probably seeing the Switchboard Items table. Try renaming it
so you can create a new one using the Wizard.

You could actually have copied the Switchboard _Form_ from any Access
database (created by the same version of Access), or from a newly
created one. The Form is absolutely standard and is never changed
after the first run of the Switchboard Wizard (for a particular
database) creates it. This is actually quite convenient, because it
allows you to make custom modifications to it without worrying that
Access will interfere with them. The Form is "driven" by the contents
of the [Switchboard Items] Table, which the Switchboard Wizard also
creates and subsequently modifies. It is the existence of this Table
which tells the Wizard that a Switchboard has already been created.

Forget it - sorry for wasting air space. I was able to copy my switchboard
from a previous version of the database. BLESS Access!!!

Please respond to the Newsgroup, so that others may benefit from the exchange.
