Hi all,

I've been looking for the switchboard add-in to use this
feature in my Access 2000 project, but I haven't been able
to find it.

My Office CD says that all the wizards etc are installed,
but I'm not sure what this file would be called to see if
I can find it and add it in elsewhere.

In my Add-ins in Access, I don't have any listed at all,
and it gives me a choice to browse.

Any ideas on where to find this file and get the add-ins
working?

Thanks heaps,

Wendy

The Help menu for Access 2000 on the location of the
Switchboard Manager is incorrect. It is located under
Tools-->Database Utilities.

Wendy, The switchboard is usually created as part of a
Wizard used to create a Wizard-generated database. If
you have a database already built, then go into the Tools
menu and look for "Switchboard Manager." In Access 2002,
it is in Tools/Database Utilities/Switchboard Manager.
When you open the Switchboard Manager and you don't
already have a Switchboard for the current DB, a message
will come up asking you if you would like to create one.
Answer yes and follow the instructions. Doing it this
way as opposed to building the Switchboard while using
the Wizard to build a database requires a little more
work from you, but you will get the idea.

Hi,

Thanks very much to both of you, I was starting to get
worried there was something wrong with my Access install!
Little did I suspect an incorrect Help instruction.

The wizard is good, I have played with it a little now,
and it will do what I want, also looked at how to do this
the other way around (manually).

Once again, thanks heaps,

Wendy
