On my computer, I use to have the welcome screen, but one
day I turned on the computer and the welcome screen was
gone and now I have the classic log-on screen. I went
the control panel and checked how users can log on and
the welcome screen along with fast user switch boxes were
checked, so I unchecked them then rechecked and i
restarted the computer, but it didn't work, so now I have
the classic log-on screen, but I want the welcome screen,
because its easier to me. If you know whats wrong with
my cmputer and/or know what to do to get my welcome
screen back, please email me and/or respond to this post.

THANKS!

On my computer i go to start, connect to, veiw all

Hi,

Enable the Welcome Screen (Line 80)
http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

The "Welcome" Logon Screen Does Not Appear
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=KB;EN-US;q305281&

If you are receiving Gina.dll error messages:

Restore the Windows XP Welcome Screen (Gina.dll)
http://www.dougknox.com/xp/scripts/fix_xp_logon.vbs

If this is a Netware Issue:

Right click My Network Places and select Properties. Right click the
Internet connection in question, or LAN connection, and select Properties.
On the Networking tab, This connection uses...highlight Client Services for
Netware and select Uninstall.

With XP and joining a domain, can you have the logon screen, or do you have to use the classic logon? That's one thing I haven't tried yet, and wanted to figure out. I would think that if you joined a domain, you wouldn't be able to, otherwise your list of users would be huge, depending on your organization

I know that this may not match what the user is asking here, but thought I might throw this question out as well.
