I need to switch users so more than one person can use
the computer without logging-off.

When I go to log-off there is no option to switch users.
Can someone help?

Control panel|user accounts\change the way users log on & log off|check use
fast user switching.

Enable Welcome Screen & Fast user switching.

Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click User Accounts.
Click Change the way users log on or off.
If it is not already selected, click to select the Use the Welcome screen check box.
NOTE: The Use Fast User Switching check box is unavailable until you click to select the Use the Welcome screen check box.
Click to select the Use Fast User Switching check box, and then click Apply Options. Quit the User Accounts tool.

If you still prefer the classic logon but want the fast user switching
capability, post back and i'll post the key to modify. You do not have
to have the welcome screen enabled for the fast user switching
capability, despite what Microsoft says. I stumbled on this by accident,
and even though you won't see a button to switch users, the switching is
done through the task manager by clicking disconnect on the selected user.
Enable Welcome Screen & Fast user switching.

Click Start, click Control Panel, and then click User Accounts.
Click Change the way users log on or off.
If it is not already selected, click to select the Use the Welcome screen check box.

Durand,

Yes. You can. Disable Welcome Screen& FUS.
Manually edit the registry and set AllowMultipleTSSessions=dword:0000001
Now, disconnect users using Task Manager.

NOTE: The Winkey+L cannot be used in this case to switch users. The only option is thru Task Mgr.
