Switch User

This used to work but when I want to change users without logging off, it
won't switch. It seems the icon doesn't recognize the tap. The setting in
control panel is correct. Can someone come up with a solution or idea to
check out? Thanks!

What changed between the time things worked and the time they didn't? Do
you have third-party software installed that disables Fast User
Switching (pcAnywhere, some VPN's, etc.)? Here are some troubleshooting
steps/tools from MVP Kelly Theriot:

Go to Start/Run and type in: services.msc
Scroll down to Terminal Services and Fast User Switching and make sure
they are Started.

Restore Fast User Switching (Line 34) -

Add Switch User to the Start Button and Right Click (Line 44) -

Super Fast Switcher PowerToy (Winkey + Q) Line 34 -

No, especially since you didn't answer any of my questions. You have to
determine what changed and reverse that change. If the change was very
recent, try doing a System Restore to when you know the function was
working.

Actually, you did help me. It seems to be resolved. I ran my adware program
and got rid of some accumulated junk files etc. and presto! I can switch
users again! You're a peach! Thank you!
