Switch Norton AntiVirus from one PC to another one

Hi,
I bought a new PC and I have a guilty installation of Norton AntiVirus
on my old one. I want to move the software to my new PC including all
informations about registration at Symantec Corp.
When I simply install the software on my new PC and then copy the
directories from the old one it doesn't recognize the software as registerd.
Can anybody help me?

Norton now has an anti-piracy scheme. I paid for an upgrade for two
PCs. I waited to install on the second one and copied to a CD. When I
finally got around to installing it wouldn't work. It did the install
process but failed when it completed and wanted a CDKEY.

I finally contacted Symantec. I was told that I had to install within
24 hours. I also could not install from a CD has to be on the hard
drive. When install completes will do a register process online. This
process verifies the copy is valid and that you have a license.

What you are describing I don't think will work. You have to download
a new copy and install while on the new PC. You will need to have the
information you used to download. I used my e-mail address and last
eight numbers on my charge card. Downloaded and installed on my second
PC. I think you need to use the same process.

You will have the option of entering order number or e-mail.
