switch from Yahoo to Outlook for photo emailing?

I've always emailed photos through Outlook Express. When I go into the
folder where my pics are saved, I highlight the ones I want to email.
There's an option on the left to email photos -- I click it -- and it allows
me to send them at a smaller size than they're saved. Then Outlook opens up,
and I send them. Easy.

But for some reason, they are now going to Yahoo instead of Outlook. Yahoo
takes *forever* to send the photos. It was so easy before! How do I make
the photos email through Outlook again? Sorry for my ignorance, and thanks
for any help.

I cannot guarantee it, but the following method may work:

How do I make OE my default mail client?

Go to...Start / Run...and enter the following:
"C:\PROGRAM FILES\OUTLOOK EXPRESS\MSIMN.EXE" /reg<
(copy paste everything between the > < but not including the > <)
(But first...Check the path to msimn.exe to make sure it is correct)

Click...OK...

Then open Internet Explorer and go to...Tools / Internet Options /
Programs tab...and set OE as the default mail (and news) program.

Good luck.

Windows wouldn't accept the command... but deleting Yahoo did the trick for
the email. Thanks, guys.

Did you receive a dialog box that said:
"Windows cannot find msimn/reg....ect."

There must be a space between n and /

Thanks for the update.

Type cmd in Start Run

Type

reg query "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\App Paths\msimn.exe"

Look at what it says and try to find the file listed.

I know this is way after the fact, but don't you just go to tools and options
in Outlook and make sure that it is selected as the default mail handler? I
needed to switch mine from Outlook (which I never use) to Outlook Express,
and read your very complicated answers, then tried doing it my way instead,
and it worked!!
