I can't get .swf videos to load from my Outlook Express
program - actually they won't load from anywhere. I d/l a
program that would play them if I did a save in the e-mail.
I gave up on that. I didn't want an extra program on my
system, and it was a pain in the .....

Also when I use Sun Java in Yahoo Euchre, each time I click
on a table I the table comes up under the main grid of
tables. If I use Microsoft VM all works well. Any ideas.

Thank you,

Outlook Express is an e-mail program, not a Shockwave/Flash player.
actually they won't load from anywhere.

And that means what? That you cannot play a .swf file that is on your hard
disk? You would need a player for that. Or that Shockwave or Flash content
won't play in a web page rendered by your web browser? You need to install
Adobe's Shockwave or Flash ActiveX control so your web browser can use it as
the player.

You are getting the .swf files as attachments to e-mails? So from WHERE are
..swf files being retrieved by the sender? How do you know they contain the
movie and are not just a pointer to streamed data from some server?

A .swf file might not contain any content and simply point at the stream
source for the content. You will need something to play a .swf file even if
it does have the content within. For web browser integration, you'll need
Adobe's ActiveX plug-in to the web browser. To play them outside the web
browser, you'll need a player program (e.g., RealPlayer). My recollection
of Flash videos (that you can download) is they are .flv files, not .swf
files. Sounds like the sender isn't sending you a file that you can use.
Saving the .swf file from a web page doesn't mean it contains the movie.
The sender might have to use a capture utility when the web page is visited
and then send you the captured movie.
