SWF Animations & PowerPointX

Once inserted in Powerpoint X, swf animations play the
first time the slide is displayed, but will not replay
unless I quit PPT and restart. Is there any way around
this short of running the show on a PC?

This is a known behaviour. You can try and see if this free add-in -
Flashback : http://www.mvps.org/skp/flashback.htm - does the trick. It was
designed for PC platform but you can give it a try on Mac.
