Swapping 9600np for 9600pro Q?

Would be grateful for some advise on swapping these cards.

Recieved my new system on Monday, I had specified a 9600pro but the
manufacturer fitted a 256mb non pro. They have readily admitted their
mistake and I now have the option of shipping the system box back or
they will parcel post the correct card for exchange and leave it to me
to fit it.

Are there any issues other than physically swopping the card and
connecting the fan? drivers? anything?

Thanks in anticipation,

Ed.

they are actually allowing you to fit the card with no warranty change? Is the case sealed with a decal of some kind? Who did this
for you? Not that I think your incapable, I was just wondering.

I was a little suprised myself, the supplier is a smallish but well
known builder in the u.k. No seal or anything like that.
I guess they think someone who knows the difference between a 256 np
and a128 pro knows how to do it. Pulling the card is easy of course
but this is my first machine with the xp o/s and ati grafix so I
thought it best to check.

Thank you both for your attention.

Personally, I would reinstall the drivers to be on the safe side. It is also
possible that the drivers are old already with 3.8 being the latest.
