Has anybody heard of a virus that makes a file called svjjtawe.exe?

i'll save you the condescending remarks about crystal balls and mostly
yellow paintings... the filename could be randomly generated (certainly
looks it) and there are many nasties out there that use randomly
generated filenames...

if you suspect you have a virus, scan your drive... if you think you
have a virus your scanner can't detect, try a different scanner or send
a sample (in this case the file called svjjtawe.exe) to an av developer
for analysis...

could be? how certain are you? fact is most of the widespread klez
variants have a static part to their name ("wink") plus some randomly
generated characters after...

*BUT* there are *LOTS* of worms and trojans that use randomly generated
filenames - that means you can't use the filename as a diagnostic tool,
and you can't use the random appearance of the filename as a diagnostic
tool...

if you know (or are pretty darn certain) of what it is, fine (though it
doesn't look like you do)... otherwise the original poster is just
going to have to scan and/or submit samples to av developers...

I think that that only pertains to the autostarting worm file.

Yeah. He's way out on a limb there. ;o)

What a concept! Use a scanner ~ it's what they're good for.
