Can anybody teel me as of what version Microsoft supports
the use of SVG across Office products. We receive many
drawing from our colleges in Japan on SVG format. We would
like to use them directly in Powerpoint other Office
products in order to avoid transformations...

I don't think any version of Office supports SVG, but there are probably
several low-cost or freeware conversion tools ... plug "SVG" into Google and
you get lots of hits.
 
You can use Adobe's SVG viewer within PPT. If it has animation, you will
need to put the SVG into an IE control in PPT.
