How do I fix this problem (for Windows 2000 SP4)?
Using IE 6.0 (Get following message before I can get 6.1).

When I am connected to the internet I get alert message -
SVCHOST.EXE has generated error and will be closed by
windows.
You will need to restart the program. An error log is
being created.

I see the following in the event logs.

Event ID: 4097
The application, svchost.exe, generated an application
error
The error occurred on 04/17/2004 @ 11:19:56.607
The exception generated was c0000005 at address E05A3A68
(<nosymbols>)

EventID: 4097
The COM+ Event System detected a bad return code during
its internal
processing. HRESULT was 800706BF from line 42
of .\eventsystemobj.cpp.
Please contact Microsoft Product Support Services to
report this error.

When: 4/17/2004 @ 11:19:56.607
Exception number: c0000005 (access violation)
