svchost.exe NETWORK SERVICE

HELP PLEEESE how do i stop this from working?????? i don't need it as i terminate it in windows task manager and it keeps comming up i want to stop it from running how do i do this? my network and internet run fine without it and it always uses 100% of the cpu resorces help appriciated thanks
 
The process is normal although 100% CPU is not. How about scanning for
spyware?

have scanned with mcafee no probs found still doing it now i have to keep using end proccess any idea any other way to stop it from working?thanks

Charlie,
I wondered about the values in the task manager processes window. Mine says
99 in the System Idle Process.
I assumed this didn't mean it was using 99% of the CPU total power but was
accounting for 99% of whatever power the CPU is using at the moment. The
performance window shows the total usage of the CPU.
So in your case does the performance window say that the CPU is running at
100% capacity and the svchost.exe network service at 100% too?
 
the svchost.exe network is using 100% of the resorces and the cpu i have to close it or my system won't do anything untill i do
 
I'm not sure that McAfee scans for spyware, but I'm not familiar with it.
Lavasoft's Adaware is a popular scanner, but I'm not familiar with it
either.
