svchost.exe error

After installing SBC Yahoo DSL when I am surfing the net
all of a sudden I get an svchost.exe informing that
windows will shut down the program any ideas on how to
stop this issue

I would like to thank you for giving me the information, that there is a
free firewall existing.

I have for an hour and a half ago installed zonealarm.
During this time, it has given me 67 alerts and out of those, 18 were
red-ones.

Again, Jonathan. I thank you, and will suggest everyone to do the same.

Get a firewall! You NEED one. There are several free ones, including
ZoneAlarm ( www.zonealarm.com ) and Sygate ( www.sygate.com )

Then go to WindowsUpdate to pick up the latest updates:
http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com
