svchost.exe crashing on Windows logon

Hi there!

I've got a rather weird problem, because it does not occur every I time
start up the computer.

However, when I get to the logon screen (I'm using the standard 2k-like
interface), there is a warning about svchost.exe having an error concerning
memory access and operations like "read" or "written" (mostly "read"). There
are also some values given for the memory addresses, but because they tend
to change, I don't think it's so useful to post them.

If I closed this window by clicking "OK" ("Cancel" would start debugging), I
would barely be able to work with the current session because of its
slowness and the stopped svchost.exe-Service. So all I can do is to reboot
after having this error prompted (works quite well, in fact, only takes a
little bit longer) and to have another try.

Another weird thing is that most likely the error would not come back the
next try!
So it's really some kind of "comes whenever it feels like"-error, I assume
:)

Looking forward to help
(thanks in advance)

PS: I'm sorry I did not post the error message in its original form; I do
not own the English version of Windows XP Home Edition, because I do not
speak English as my mother tongue, please excuse me :)
I do hope that you understand what I mean, nevertheless. :)
