I have written a local server app which registers itself (via
CoRegisterClassObject) to create objects. The application is designed
to service multiple clients from the one process and has been shown to
do so.
Sometimes I see that DCOM starts additional instances of the
localserver process. So far I have not been able to discern a pattern
to this behaviour.
Does anyone know under what conditions DCOM will start a new instance
of a localserver process?
Operating system is Windows 2000 Server with SP4.
Any clues appreciated.
